Marcel Plavec sa narodil v Bratislave ako najstarší syn v rodine českej matky a slovenského otca. Jeho výtvarná tvorba sa formovala ako nenápadná reakcia na hudobné podnety. Umenie, ale predovšetkým hudba, bolo to, čo ho sprevádza už od ranného detstva, keďže rodina je umelecky založená. Svoj prvý obraz namaľoval pre svojho brata.
